Power Monitoring System of Fire Equipment

1 Overview
 
AFPM Power monitoring system for fire equipment independently developed by Acrel Co.,Ltd. is a computer measurement and control system integrating monitoring,alarm and management.The system is widely used in intelligent buildings,high apartments,hotels,restaurants,commercial buildings,industrial mining enterprises,key fire control units,petrochemical industry,culture,education and health,finance,telecommunication and so on. 
AFPM100/B1 fire equipment power status monitor is the core of AFPM fire equipment power monitoring system. AFPM100/B1 monitor is connected to multiple sensors through two buses to form a distributed fire equipment power monitoring system, real-time monitoring of fire equipment main and standby power Working status.
The monitor adopts centralized and modular design, and is equipped with sensors. It monitors, stores, analyzes and counts the operation information, alarm information and fault information of the voltage, current and switch status of the fire equipment power supply, which is convenient for users to monitor and Management; through the human-computer interaction interface, the fire equipment power supply data is summarized and displayed, with functions of management, viewing, alarm, and printing.
The device has reasonable structure, high reliability, strong function, convenient maintenance, high cost performance, friendly system interface, easy to learn and use.
 
 
2  Basic functions
Monitoring  functions
The monitoring device can receive voltage,current information and switch status information of various sensors through 2 bus. When the fault occurs, the sound and light fault alarm signal is emitted, and the “other” fault indicator on the panel is on. The display indicates the fault location, fault type and fault time, and the sound and light signals are kept until the fault is eliminated.The sound signal can be manually removed using the display "Muff" button.
Control output function
When the monitored circuit alarms, the output relay can be controlled to be closed for controlling the protected circuit or other equipment. When the fault is eliminated, the control output relay is released.
Alarm function
System fault alarm: When the program is not working properly, the monitoring device emits an audible and visual alarm signal, and the “system” fault indicator on the panel lights up.
Other fault alarms: abnormality of the main power supply or backup power supply, short circuit or open circuit of the monitoring equipment and sensor circuit, or when the sensor sends various fault signals of the detected power supply, the monitoring equipment emits an audible and visual alarm signal, and the yellow on the equipment The "Other" fault indicator lights up.
Self-check function
Check that all status indicators, display, speakers, etc. in the device are normal.
Record,storage and enquiry functions
When an overvoltage, undervoltage, out-of-phase, overcurrent fault alarm or communication or power failure occurs, the system stores the fault alarm location, fault information, fault alarm time and other information in the database. When the fault alarm is removed and the fault is eliminated, Also record it.Historical data provides a variety of convenient and fast ways to query.
Active/Standby Power Switching Function
When the main power supply has a power failure or undervoltage fault, the monitoring equipment can automatically switch to the standby power supply. When the main power supply returns to normal power supply, it automatically switches back to the main power supply, ensuring continuous and smooth operation of the monitoring equipment during the switching process.
User Rights Management Function
In order to ensure the safe operation of the monitoring system, the monitoring device divides the software operation authority into three levels (administrator, operator, attendant), and different levels of operators have different operation rights, thereby improving the security level of the system.
 
3 Main components

① Main control unit: industrial grade tablet with touch screen, Windows XP operating system;
② Sound and light alarm: built-in speaker, LED indicator;
③ Backup power supply: 2 12V/12Ah maintenance-free batteries.
The panel component layout and function description are shown in the figure below:
Running indicator (green): When the device is running normally, the indicator light is always on
Power indicator (green): Blinks when the main or backup power of the device is abnormal.
Silence indicator (green): When the monitoring device is in the mute state, the indicator light is always on
System fault indicator (yellow): When the system program fails to run, the system fault indicator is always on;
Other fault indicator (yellow): When the system receives other fault alarm signals, other fault indicators are always on;
Reset button (black): reset the system;
Micro printer: used to print real-time faults and event information.
